got another ?? for yaall im moving toanother state next friday its about a 3 1/2 hrtrip twinkie just had babiestoday how to i transport mom andkits???? can i move the babies to acarrier??? also will twinkie bemad if i go into her cage to check on thekits???? do i need to change the hay inthe nest or should i leave it alone??? thanks inadvance beans_mommy
 
We transport babies in the nestbox separate frommom so she won't stomp on them. A little carrot and some hayshould keep mom busy and content.

It's best to leave the nesting material alone if it is clean anddry. The babies need this scent to stay in the box -- if youremove the nesting material, the kits will attempt to leave the box inorder to find their way back to their nest scent

I thought it was absolutely amazing how the momleaves a single fresh dropping at the edge of the nest when she feedsand the kits know to never go beyond that.

God's creation is amazing!
