I got my first English Lop today.
He is a 2 almost 3 month old Blue Tort Buck.
We purchased him from Dee at Bunny Barn Rabbitry.
He took the truck ride home like a champ, I felt bad
because he has been with his brother since birth and today
was the first time they were seperated. He will get a new friend
eventually. Lucas will be getting a girlfriend in a few months, we will
have our own litter of English Lops.

Right now Lucas is snuggled in his hutch. He has been sitting her with me
at the computer but I hate to pickup the mess my dogs made so I put him
back in his hutch. I went to go get him out and he was all nice and comfy on his costal hay. I decided just to leave him for now.

Without further ado here is Lucas. First day with me.
Ill put pictures on here as I take them and as her grows.

well, I couldnt leave the little bugger alone.
I took him out so he could watch law and order with
me. He was fine and then he got some wild hair stuck
up his butt. I figured it was time to let him wander about his
room. here are some pictures of his event.

He's really cute! He's a big boy too! How big do they get? do you know?

He wanted to explore - seems that's common in those guys!

I guess I will give updateto Lucas everyday.
Today Lucas is 10 weeks and 1 day old.
I woke up this morning and the little bugger had a poopy cage
for me to clean out. I gave him his handful of hay and let him eat.
Took him out for a while pet him and let him watch TV with me on
the bed, then I out him back in his hutch to sleep. and sleep he did
I dot some pictures of him relaxing. Now, he is snuggled up on the blanket
next to me. He usually bounces around but I still think he is pretty tired.
We will be getting him a girlfriend next month, but they will just be distant
friends until the doe is old enough to breed. here are some pictures from today.

yay for a Lucas update!

He is one fat feller now. I have had him for about 2 weeks now.
he is doing amazing his ears are about 18-19 inches right now and he is just
full of energy. I got him to trance today long enough for me to take pictures. well here is Mr. Lucas

Congrats on your first E-Lop! He's a super cutie and looks like he's a bit of a trouble maker. He reminds me of the infamous Yofi, Bassetluv's newest bun. There's some stories you should read that blog and make comparisons.

I would be a hopeless English Lop Owner I think, I am not sure whats involved but do yu have to be extremely careul of keeping his ears clean and out of the way of mischief?
I hear they have exceptional personalities though

No, I never have to worry about his ears really. and yes indeed they have good personalities.
