Hi, I'm so confused these days when I search for information about people using Vitakraft wood shaving beddings, I find no one using it......

I'm so anxious that it's bad for Hoppy (2 month and 23 days old ND rabbit), I have been using it for about 3 days already...

Please let me know if you have any information, I have already contacted Vitakraft, but the response's very slow...

Can you post a photo of the bag with all the writing? What kind of wood? Is it kiln-dried?

There's only this, no other useful information, or am I missing any information?

I'm not seeing anything helpful on the bag.

Aspen shavings are safe. So are pine shavings IF they are kiln-dried. Cedar should be avoided completely.

You can also review the following for other potential options (and what to avoid).

I got the reply that it was 100% from pine, but haven't got the response about is it kiln-dried or what yet..

And thank you for the advicee!

Another option is to shred newspaper--the ink is vegetable based so it is safe. I read a newspaper everyday and save them up--hand tear it and put in a couple of litter boxes so they can dig in it as it's an easy clean up and our 2 also use them as their toilet while they are out. Just a thought.

I want to but I think there's no one selling newspaper here T.T
It's already been 2/3 years since I last saw newspaper around here:(

Are wood pellets an option for you? They are sold either as bedding for horses or as fuel for wood pellet stoves.

Yes, I see so many people selling pellet, and it's cheap, but I kinda can't understand is every wood pellet safe for rabbit?
Because they didn't say what wood or how the process is, I'm kinda scared to buy any:(

The process of making the pellets removes any harmful phenols. So wood pellets are safe. The only thing to avoid is added accelerants that may be added to wood fuel pellets. At least that is a warning I've read but I have yet to come across any wood pellets that actually have accelerants added. The bag would say if there is.

Uhm, sorry but, my online store didn't have any decent packaging, so it's only transparant bag:(
