Hi!

We adopted a cute boy from the shelter last friday, and we were told he is a flemish giant mix. However, he is already 5months old and only weights 2,7kg.

What else could he be?

To me, he looks like a definite mix of Flemish Giant, but you can always get a test done on him, I believe you can get one through animalgenetics.com

My flemish were that weight at 10 weeks, and they were on the small side for flemish. He doesn't really look flemish to me - and flemish aren't really common in the netherlands. In europe & the UK, continental giants are more common (which he doesn't look like either) while flemish are a bit smaller, finer boned, and only come in a specific color. I don't even see flemish or conti mix in him. Probably just a mixed breed.
