Grrr. This is the 3rd time that I've posted since each time I tried it posted up
blank... =.=" So frustrating...

Anyhow... Long story short. What do you think of Harvey?
Is he good looking for a 8 month old mini lop buck?
Or would I be better off finding a better bunny to start my rabbitry with?

I want to have him to start with as his temperament is really good.
But since I'm new to bunnies I don't know if he looks good to breed with...
I had to drive really far to get him so I hope he's good.... but I have to drive
really far for any mini lop in my area really since nobody breeds them around me...
everyone is more interested in breeding dwarf lops or cross breeding angora's and
dwarf lops...

I don't know how to pose bunnies sorry :(

Sure Harvey is good. He's always been good. But good for what? lol

Tell us. Are you asking about breeding?

K :)

Lol sorry Karen... You must have caught my post when it was
blank and left you confused with a title haha.

Try not to look at the colour... I'm not quite sure what's
going on with that... He's a self black but he's turning
chocolate...

We've been having really weird weather one day its 18 degrees celcius and pooring with rain

then the next day it's 30 degree's celcius with not a cloud
in sight

so he's losing fur on the boiling days and then growing
a thick coat on cold days so it's going strangely patchy...

Yea I'm always confused. lol Well that's what people tell me. Go figure.

Anyway, not an expert on lops, but he really looks good. I think he would compliment any doe that you breed. Especially with the good temperament. And also remember, with your kits, you help with the good temperament as well. Handle them, get them used to human contact. And Harvey's good disposition will florish in your kits.

Look forward to hearing about your breeding adventure. I'm starting with Lion Heads as well. My buck Neville is only 7 weeks old so I have some time before he's ready. My plans are already in place for a doe with feelers out for a second.

Wishing you all the luck. I know about traveling. Had to travel a total of 12 hours and 700 plus miles for my Neville. Will be doing the same thing from my Luna. Yes we already named her. Worth every minute and every mile.

K :)

Thanks Karen :)

Hopefully a mini lop expert see's this and gives me the 411
on Mini Lop Breeding standards haha :p

I still have awhile also til I will breed...
I'm planning to breed him with my doe Moshi but she's only
3 months at the moment and I am still yet to see what she will grow to look like when she's 6 months :)

I am no mini lop expert and I'm not sure if anyone here is. I think his head is way underdeveloped especially for a buck. His body looks good maybe a little pinched In The hindquarters. I'm not sure if there's a difference between mini lips here and there though. Here's the American mini lop clubs website if u wanted to look http://www.amlrc.com/

Are you planning on showing mini lops or just for pets? If just for pets then he looks fine

Thank you Sarah :)
Uhm Yeah I got told by some people on here that Australian
Mini Lops are Holland Lops in the US.

So I'm not sure how different your mini lops are but it's
still helpful :)

I want to breed them for pets only but I wanted to breed
them as like the perfect pet. as nobody here can tell the
difference between dwarf lops and mini lops and I really
want mini lops more well known...

And THANKS Rue! That actually explains it as he is an indoor
bunny but he's outside most of the day to exercise and since
it's summer I suppose the sun has more effect :D
you're genius :)
