We have a 2 year old rabbit in excellent health. We put him out in our fenced front yard most days when it's not raining or snowing. He has a garden there he feeds on year-round.

In the house, we feed him fresh Timothy Hay. The question is--given all that feeding how much, if any pellets should we be feeding? We feed him 1/8 cup of Oxbow adult rabbit pellets 2x per day (1/4 cup total/day).

Does he need that much pellets or should we back off some? You can see his pic to tell you whether he looks overweight or not.

He has the same coloring as my rabbit (in avatar)!

Here's a guide you can use to assess whether or not your rabbit is overweight:

If he is normal weight, then keep doing what you're doing. If he seems to be overweight, I'd half his pellets and see how he does.
