Does anyone here have experience with free ranging bunnies under the watchful eye of a herding dog? Just wanting to know.
I used to have a herding dog in the way past who would round up my bunny from the yard to go inside at night.

Never heard of that. I wouldn't think it would work. For one, rabbits aren't really gregarious (group together, especially in trouble), which all the commonly herded animals are.

Usually rabbits that are kept in warrens (as close to free range that are still "domesticated" that I've heard of), have a completely enclosed area with a high, rabbit-proof fence, and sometimes overhead coverage to protect from flying predators.

Also, if the group has a male AND females, you'll quickly be overrun with babies (the does may have litters as often as once a month throughout most of the year).
