Help on Color of Rex babies

The mom had 4 babies.

Color: ?? All the same baby

2 Castor's:

Color: Blue

Yes, in Rex, the Chocolate chestnut is called amber, just like the Chestnut is called Castor.

That baby is a red. A fairly clean one too. Especially to have come from a Castor.

I'm by no means an expert, but definately looks like a red. I have a red and a castor.

The do look a little like smutty reds - both parents would have to carry the recessive non-extension gene for them to be reds.

Check the undercolor - reds should have light undercolor. Amber (chocolate agouti) would have dove-gray undercolor.

I dont think none parents carry Reds.... But I will have too look at pedigree.

That last baby is an Opal..

I finally seen the babies today, The dad is the Blue (Odie).

The babies are Red, 2 Castor's and Opal!

Right now, you can only see the undercolor, someone should look up the undercolors that match this. I forget what the amber undercolor is, but they are beautiful when they grow up =)

Amber undercoat is dove gray I believe. I havent had the time to really look at them yet. They are still little yet and give them a couple of weeks.

I was mostly castors, broken opal, soild opal and blue.

I still say it's a red. A light red, but a red.
