I was brushing Everest my Jersey Wooly when I Noticed his back hair wasn't there Its on his spine. When I first Rescued him he had a tiny bald spot but I brushed it off thinking he did it due to boredom/loneliness. It eventually went away but is back now and way bigger. Im worried he might be sick.

He has a healthy diet and is never bored he has another bonded rabbit with him and plenty of toys and activities plus a huge cage to run around in.

Is this normal for super fluffy bunnies? Is he sick????
What should I do?

He may have pulled it out accidentally when cleaning himself. As long as it’s only one spot then I think you’re fine. Just monitor that spot, check for rashes and inflamed skin and if it gets any bigger. He could be pulling out his fur due to stress, but I don’t think that’s the case.

Every Spring we had a male Mini Rex that would lose hair on the back of his neck and then it would come back--no mites or anything else, so it just became a "rite" of Spring for us.
