It's possible/probable that the papers are notaccurate. The English crosses do not result in a partiallywooled rabbit, but the double or single maned gene of the lionheadcan. It's possible that someone mistook a "teddy" fullywooled lionhead in the backgroundfor an English Angora.

Below is a photo of a little girl that most likely has English in her background due to the soft wool and tufted ears. . .

The maned gene of the Lionhead is completelydifferent than the wooled angora gene, and crossing the two is notrecommended. The angora wooled gene is a recessive gene, where themaned gene of the Lionhead is dominant. The maned mutation isresponsible for the Lions we have today -- not the wooled gene of theangora. Lions have normal fur on their bodies, where angorascannot produce a rabbit with normal fur. Two Lions bredtogether can produce a normal furred rabbit.

So you think that her mother and father were probably both Lionheads?

Hard to tell because Lions are often crossed withother breeds. Breeding stock was so expensive when they firstto this country, that hybrids became very common. I think thefad has waned, and someone even gave me 2 purebreds. Peoplehave found that it's going to be a long struggle to get them ARBAaccepted.

Here's a really good article on hybridizing theLionhead
