EDIT 5/30/13 - Vet gave me baytril cherry flavored antibiotics for 10 days to see if it clears the sneezys up, the dark pee dribbles stopped after that one day , suspected it was a passed kidney stone.

My mini lop girl is leaving these dark spot marks everywhere now, she occasionally left these and I thought of them being nothing more then marking territory really but it seems this morning she left WAY more then usual and she has been sneezing on and off again but again, it good just be a major territory thing again cause there was a lot of poos spread around. She's also been sneezing a bit more but I can't find discharge or crusty feet and she was always an occasional sneezer the day I got her from the rescue, even after her spay visit the vet didn't notice or have much to say about her and that was a little over a month ago now. She seems the same and happy but I wonder if it's natural to have suck dark urine spots.

My male shows no signs of these problems at all so if it was something it doesn't seem it to affect him. Again she always kind of did these things but just seems to be more dark spots then usual.

edit - Maybe I'll try adding a humidifier in my room again, it seemed to help her last time with the sneezes a lot, shes running all over as I type this happy but I'm just wondering really about these dark pee spots left everywhere over night. She is bonded to my male and they are BOTH FIXED

Personally, I'd be concerned to have the vet take a look, but I don't know much about bunnies - (yet!)

Are you sure that it's urine? In the photo, it looks like it could be blood. What does it do if you wet it, is it red/reddish? Have you checked her for fleas, or a skin lesion that could be spotting on the blanket?

EDIT: Maybe it's marks from poo-eating? Or from those chews you've got there?

I think I found the problem but I'm still watching and if it continues through the day I'm taking them in tomorrow. My male had extremely dirty feet so I think it was him tracking it OR it's because I did change their home around a little yesterday and didn't cover them like normal for bed. My female is very picky and particular about her territory so she could have gone a muck marking like crazy. I'm picking peroxide up to mix with the spots to check for blood. She's not sneezing today but if another fit happens I'll take her in tomorrow.

I don't think it's the chews, they haven't been up to that in awhile, could very well be her eating poos, I never catch them doing it, so it must be done at night probably when I sleep cause this NEVER appears during day, it's something I wake up to.

bad news I guess, the peroxide I dribbled on the marks started to fizzle which indicates blood right? If so I'm calling the vet now.

Are you sure it's coming from her? Could it be rats or mice or some other critter? Are you rural where somebody else could be creeping in to help themselves to her food and making a mess. Maybe she's being framed :D

Um..I would hope not, I doubt mice and rats are running into my room at night cause if so there would be droppings >_>;;

Anyways after isolating the 2 cages next to each other I got pee from both of them on a paper towel. My male peed a good healthy amount that looked normal while the female peed a dribble spot that was darker in color, hers fizzled under the peroxide while his did not. Putting the peroxide fizzle test aside I can tell she has the issue because her pee was not normal compared to his. She has always seemed to have more health problems then my male... I adopted her so her first owners were probably poor care takers ( they dumped her with no note at the rescue ). I keep her litter and area very clean so I don't see how I got her a UTI :( She does seem to drink less water throughout the day so I don't know if it's because of her drinking habits or shes not drinking cause of pain, but she appears in no pain at all cause she runs like crazy and accepts food still.

Is she neutered? Maybe it's an hormonal thing. My girl dog has some wee problems and she takes female hormones when she has an episode. At least you now know that it's her, that it's her wee so you know what to have investigated. She's very lucky she's got an observant owner.

She's spayed yes, about a month ago now since the spay. She peed lots of normal pee away from the male over night and none fizzled, if it was a uti wouldn't it continue to worsen and all stay dark looking? Maybe it was something I fed veggie like to her :/

So after the visit she (the vet) did an ultra sound and said everything looked fine, she said to just watch her closer and it's probably allergies or something irritating her in the air, if discharge becomes present then to bring her back. She thinks she may have passed a little kidney stone since her urine was normal again for me today, she tried to get a urine sample but she wouldn't go for the vet. So if the blood or dark bad urine becomes present again I'll bring her in and they will try to get a sample overnight or something.

They tried to check her teeth but she was stubborn about it and said she thinks she spotted sharp points but it wasn't bothering her eating habits and there were no sores and she had a smooth jaw bone. She thinks in the future she may need dental work monthly and it can cost 800 ... I hope she never has those problems because I honestly don't see how it's possible for me to make that amount for her :(

In the mean time I'm happy she seems ok so I'll just watch her.

In terms of the bunch of money possible future dental would cost because she's never had dental work or a real problem diagnosed yet do you think something like http://www.petinsurance.com/ would still cover the some costs if I started insurance before a procedure was needed. I know they say they don't cover a cost if the animal has already been previously diagnosed with an issue before getting insurance. I guess I'm freaking out about possible near a 1 grand a month in the future...

No, it will be excluded as a pre-existing complaint.

Well that sucks, I wonder how they even find that out I mean I think it's common procedure to check teeth in the first place. Ugh, I guess I shouldn't worry yet but it scares me in having to surrender her in the future if it costs 800 every month for up keep. The vet said it can be a once a month procedure and that's the $800 estimate she gave me...

Hope I can get a better job soon @_@
