Can rabbits have Pepto Bismal??

If a bunny has diarrhea can you give him a little pepto bismal?? I have heard you can use keopetate(sp?).

I found one site that says that they can. They give their rabbits that have diarrhea a 1/4 of a tablet crushed up (I assume put into their water.

Id say no to the pepto, too many other ingredients in there that are a danger to the liver/kidneys for buns.
Kaopectate is okay, not sure on the dose however... few drops I think.
(same thing for dogs, try not to use pepto same reason.)

I've used both Pepto and Kaopectate. I prefer the Kaopectate....just a few drops.
