I know you can feed blackberries to bunnies but I was wondering about the leaves. On some rabbit herb site itsays blackberry is good to use on hot days because it cools the blood, but I don't know if they mean the leaf or the blackberry itself?

Yup! I feed my guys quite a lot of blackberry leaves. I usually only pick the fresh, young leaves that are still soft (mainly just so I can handle them easier without getting thorns or scrapes) and the bunnies love the soft tender leaves :).

Thanks! Now I can give them some when I go to take baby pics. Its pretty warm here and I don't want to put a fan on them, since its not too warm.

Yes Lactating = Nursing! Lucy had them once and absolutely loved them.

Thanks Luv-bunniz!

Lactating means nursing right?
Yup. They give off plenty of calcium, keep a steady flow of milk (ie. if the kits aren't taking as much, it helps the mum adjust and slow down milk production) and helps the kits gut flora. :)
