OMG- I am so excited. I have seen almost everymorning a wild cute brown rabbit grazing in our backyard. He hopsaround our yard every morining & often hops around our house. Iwas never sure were he/she lived but this afternoon my daughterdiscovered a baby.

An adorable baby bunny was eating grass right next to our deck thisafternoon & after watching it for a while saw it hop back underour deck. Now I think the family must live there.

My daughter & I are excited but my husband is concerned thatthey may chew away at the deck & damage the structure. Doesanyone know if rabbits are known to chew on Cedar decks ( hope itdoens't harm them)

We discovered the baby bunny on the same day I heard Buck Jones hadpassed away so we are naming the baby Buck in his honor ( there may bemore than one baby- but we have only seen one)

I have always seen rabbits around our neighborhood &wondered if I should leave them where they are or should I try to finda way to encourage them to move into a more natural setting?

Oh my neighbor tells me she saw 2 babies this morning in her yard so there must be at least 2.

Hi Sue, The rabbit/s will not harmyour cedar deck. Just leave them alone, they'll either stayor go. It depends on the living conditions around yourhome....food, predators, noise, etc.. Enjoy them!Charlotte
