hi so have had my rabbit for about 6 months one female one male both dwarf rabbits. so we had an oops litter and more so because I didn't know how quick they could get pregnant I kept trying to take them to get fixed but my vet was adamant I had to wait until 6 months even though the male was already trying to get to her. I should have separated but thought we still had time. lo and behold she was pulling her hair out middle of the night I was freaking out the male wouldn't leave her alone. by noon the next day she looked exhausted so I took her to vet did xray she was fine but we figured out she gave birth so I pulled the male separate habitat and got him fixed and she's been with her babies. the kits are now 4 weeks and yesterday came home she was little stressed but didn't realize until this morning she gave birth. 2 out of 4 did not make it. I had to do a full habitat clean up take the 4 week old and separate them to another habitat I've tried getting her hay and some soft nesting material so she doesn't have to pull her hair out. I got her a hay bungalow to put the little ones in because she was just keeping them all over.the place and I don't want them to get cold. we'll she hated the bungalow now she's moving around with hay and fur in her mouth the kits are in the normal habitat but isn't she supposed to be keeping them warm? I know.shes probably trying to build a better nest bit idk please help I want her and the kits to be okay.

It's possible she could still be having some more kits. Rabbits have two uterine horns, so can have separate litters, hours apart, even a few days apart.

It's best to have a nest box of some sort, like a shoe box, with sides high enough to keep the kits together in the nest and prevent them squirming off and getting chilled. But with sides low enough mom can hop in easily, and with just enough space for mom to turn around to nurse the kits without squishing them.

The nest should have some sort of rabbit safe bedding. I like a soft grass hay. Then there should be a hollow in that towards the back of the nesting box, that the kits nestle down into. The mom should then line that with the fur she's plucked. The fur is what they burrow under to keep warm, and is the best insulator for them. Mother rabbits don't stay with their babies to keep them warm. For the most part they're only with the kits once or twice a day in the morning and/or evening to nurse.
