Poppy @ Marquette MI Humane Society

I recieved a PM about this bunny and emailed the person I was asked to for more details and how I can help. I haven't heard back yet, and was also willing to give her a home if she is already spayed (my vet charges a fortune for spays.) My bunny pen would work for a bun with a paralyzed leg...

    Spayed female and false pregnancy?

I don't know what vet spayed her, or if the rescue was the one to do the spaying, or even if the previous owners got her spayed - no idea. So I guess that could be a possibility. Just to be 100% sure, I checked he "newest" male (Dempsey,) to make sure he was neutered, and he was missing the...

    Spayed female and false pregnancy?

I have a spayed female living with 3 neutered males. All were rescue. The female in question is Gypsy, about 4 years old now (a guess, she came from a no kill shelter.) She came to us already spayed. I got our first two males neutered at my own vet, and the last rabbit I got came from another...

    They're fighting...again!

I am giving it a chance first to see how things go. I just want to open his options some. I just hope I have enough NICs to do this... ETA: After my initial panic, I talked to a fellow bun owner who has multiples as well as the fiance, I think we found the right solution so my Jasper will...

Neutered Dwarf Mix Looking for a new home

    Nevermind, I think it's been resolved. :biggrin2:

    They're fighting...again!

Yeah, I have to use it on rats whenever they get too rough with playing. Thanks for your help. If I have any issues with this, I'll be sure to ask it here. ETA: I am going to offer him for adoption, but not immediately. He'll always have a home here, but I would like to be on the look out...

    They're fighting...again!

I've check them all for wounds, and there's just a couple scratches and lots of fur missing. I'm using an exercise pen and NICs joined for a cage that's about 6 ft long and 3 feet deep with no top. I'll just have to do what you said and divide them. Originally, Jasper and Marlowe were bonded...

    They're fighting...again!

This is the third or fourth time, and I'm really getting scared they may seriously hurt each other. I have 3 rabbits - Jasper (black dwarf mix,) Marlowe (agouti dwarf mix,) and Gypsy (french lop mix.) They're all spayed/neuterd. The boys were neutered 6 months ago and not sure when Gypsy was...

    Marlowe, Jasper, and Gypsy's Blog

Introductions went wonderful with the trio! Jasper chased Gypsy around some, but they now feel comfy enough to cuddle and eat together. Though Gypsy spends most of her time on one end of the cage while the two boys are sleeping together, I think it worked very well. Their cage is HUGE(82"L x...

    Confused on rabbit food brands

Thanks everyone for your replies. There is a Mounds near me, and, strangely, they're very limited on their small pet supplies, especially the food. I have 2 dwarf mixes and a French Lop. All are very active. I've started doing the 1/4c a day thing with unlimied timothy hay, and am wondering if...

    Confused on rabbit food brands

The store carries the 11lb bags as well, but it's $17...which I think is nuts. I can slowly switch them if it would be okay to have them on something alfalfa based. Which formula would work best, btw? Show, professional, rabbit chow?

    Confused on rabbit food brands

I've seen many people recommend Pruina and Mana Pro rabbit foods. I'd like to switch to Purina (easy to get and much cheaper than Oxbow,) but all the ones I saw have alfalfa as the first ingrediant. I have 3 adult rabbits, and spending about $30+ a month on the oxbow, which is a little nuts. No...

    Marlowe, Jasper, and Gypsy's Blog

Marlowe just wanted to say hi to everyone on RO. I took more pictures of Gypsy last night, but most of them came out blurry. It's hard to get pics of a bun when she keeps climbing on your lap and forcing you to pet her. :bunnyheart

    Marlowe, Jasper, and Gypsy's Blog

So I'm finally getting around to making a blog about my three buns; a bonded pair of males and one female who I intend to bond with the boys (everyone is speutered.) First, pics and their stories. Marlowe and Jasper were unaltered dumpees at a pet supply store. I'm friends with the owner and...

Neuters went great, and now they're fighing

Hmm, perhaps? They were fighting in the cage, then I let them out. Then they fought outside the cage for a while, and we kept separating them with the broom. They're weird.

Neuters went great, and now they're fighing

Thanks everyone for the replies. I had them separated last night for a couple hours (one in the cage, one free ranging in the kitchen,) and before bed I let Jasper back in the cage. After that, there has been nothing but cuddling again. I am so confused!

Neuters went great, and now they're fighing

Some may remember my two dwarf buns, Marlowe and Jasper, who were having aggression problems towards each other. It -seemed- to die after their neuter last week, until 2 days ago. Marlowe was chasing Jasper around pulling out mouthfuls of hair again. We were trying to figure a way to turn the...

    Are my rabbits acting aggressive?

Wanted to give everyone and update. Marlowe and Jasper were neutered yesterday afternoon and so far have had no problems with them. They didn't make as big of a mess last night kicking poo out of their litter box as they normally do, but otherwise things seems to be great.
