This is gonna sound strange, but do people from the USA and Canada replace 'porridge' in the story with 'oatmeal'?

I've been thinking on it and I'm so curious!

LOL

i have never heard of changing the porridge to oatmeal, everytime i have heard it, it has been porridge.

:laughsmiley:

Michelle, you crack me up!

No, it's porridge in the USA also..... never heard Goldilocks eating oatmeal. :p

I think I actually may have heard it both ways, but mostly I hear it with porridge.

Oh good glad to have my curiosity satisfied :p. I was watching a cartoon, an American one, and the father bear was telling the story of Goldilocks to his son but they all fell asleep before they got to the porridge bit.

I always find "oatmeal" to sound so weird because we say porridge here, but if I think about it, porridge is actually waaaay weirder :panic:. Now I can't stop thinking of porridge, aaahhhh :help.
