Worms!?

I just got 2 rabbits, I was told they did not have worms but they were dewormed yesterday but I just found dead worms in the poop...can other animals still get it?

Technically, yes, but it's not likely. Chances are, you are seeing the dead worms come out form the deworming (hard to hold on when you're suddenly dead!) so know that you did a good thing getting them dewormed. Technically until their feces come back negative for all worms, they COULD be contagious to other animals, but most internal parasites are at least somewhat species specific- aka you and your dog won't likely get tapeworms from your rabbit even when the tapeworms are alive.
