We raise sheep and have used the Ivomec pour on and Cydectin Pour on to worm our sheep - we administer it orally -

My Question is - has anyone out there used either one of these to worm their rabbits? the active ingredients is the same as the ivomec injectable I've used orally also.

Thank you in advance for any responses :)

Whoops, missed this earlier, so sorry!

Do you know what kind of parasites you're dealing with? That is critical information.

Ivermectin should be used very cautiously and only with very specific dosing. We've had several members experiencing adverse reactions to it, although rabbits (and other life forms) can have adverse reactions to just about anything.

Our Library link to Parasites seems to be missing :( but here's a few other links:

However, I'd suggest waiting for more info and I think we'd need more info from you.

Sorry for the loooong response time! Some welcome!

sas: welcome1:hello

We use the injectable ivomec for our rabbits though supposedly it stings like H***if you inject it. most just put it in a needle and scratch it onto the back of the neck. orally rabbits have very sensitive guts so personally I don't like to give meds that way.
