Why does my bunny have dry skin

Hi. My bunny has a dry spot on his skin. I’m not sure why it looks like this. It came out of nowhere and my bunny doesn’t like me touching it much. I searched up reasons, but I couldn’t find any that would apply to him. I’m thinking of moisturizing it. If anyone has any advice I would love it.

Most likely cause of dandruffy skin and fur loss, is fur mites, easily treated with ivermectin or Revolution(selamectin). If if doesn't appear to be mites, there are other possibilities like a fungal infection or sebaceous adenitis(rare). Best thing to do would be to have your bun checked and treated by an experienced rabbit vet.
