Why do first time does have to pull hair at 1 am?

I could scream! I was just getting ready for bed and doing one last check in the nursery...uh..I mean rabbitry....when I see Unicorn is pulling hair. She's a first time mama and a nervous doe on top of that....

Oh well.....babies will be worth it. I'm thinking she's only going to have one or two as she barely put on any weight...watch her shock me and have half a dozen!

I had a doe, my first litter, during the night around 2 a.m. I had gone to check on her but as she wasn't due for a few more days, I hadn't put a nesting box in and moved her to a different cage. there I was at 1:00 a.m. cutting a bigger door in the cage so I could put the nest box in..
