I've heard a lot about rabbits needing fruits & vegtables in their diet but I don't know which ones to buy.

Fruits are more of a treat, it's greens/herbs and timothy hay that keeps buns healthy and happiest.

Start slow amd one at a time so you know if it causes runny poo.

Romaine, parsley, cilantro, dandelions, basil, bok choy, kale etc are some of the MANY choices. Every bun is different. Agnes's faves are romaine and bok choy with kale every so often and blueberries are her special treat. She would do nearly ANYthing for blueberries :)

Aww I bet she looks adorable when begging for blueberries. :]

there's not really anything specific that it's important for them to have, but there's some stuff that it's important for them to not have too much of.

Perfect, thanks!

Omg I just went to look for Ollie and she was on my kitchen table eating my potted plant! :O It says it's a "himalaya mix", does anyone know if that's okay for her to eat?

It's always been my philosophy that no plant is safe for a rabbit to eat unless it is one of the herbs/greens listed on HRS or another reputable bunny site. All my house plants went bye-bye after I got my first bun.

Yeah I should have thrown it out :( I googled it and it doesn't say anything about himalayas being toxic to rabbits but I'm still worried.

it's not on this list of toxic plants - http://adoptarabbit.org/articles/toxic.html#w - so it's probably fine, especially if it was only a small amount.

I'm rather impressed she made it onto the table by herself!

I am too! She is a determined little bun bun. I'm thinking she hopped onto the chair first then got onto the table from there. She devoured the whole thing though!

Oh, I will have to try blueberries! My Reeses seems to be VERY picky AND has a sweet tooth! He does not get his way....as his primary diet is horse quality hay and pellets....with greens and occasional banana, spinach and craizins. Blue berries are going to be tried! :)

We have been feeding marci sunflower sprouts, we actually grow them in pans, its very cheap to do and saves us alot of money on the veggies
