Hi everyone, I recently noticed that my male bun bun Mona (named that way because we thought he was a girl) has this in his eye. I’m kind of freaking out. There are no other symptoms and he is otherwise super normal. However, I have no idea how long he’s had this for or what it could be. I just searched it on google and it says that it may be a sign of E. Cuniculi? Has anyone’s bun had this before? Due to everything that is currently going on in the world, with Covid money, is definitely tight and I can’t afford a trip to the vet right now. It would be at least $500 + with labs and x-rays. I ordered Panacur online just in case. I would like to hear your thoughts. **Please no mean comments, I love my bunny very much and I am genuinely concerned.**

Can I also add that it is a mass within his eye. There isn’t any discharge coming out of his eye.

You could try flushing the eye with plain sterile saline to see if it's a bit of fluff and will wash out.

If it doesn't wash out and is in a fixed positition, e. cuniculi induced uveitis is possible, but to me it looks more like it could be a corneal ulcer that may now be infected. If so it needs to be treated with antibiotic ophthalmic eye drops/ointment, which usually requires a prescription from the vet to get it. So if at all possible, a visit to the vet is needed for proper diagnosis, treatment, and medication, if this is a corneal ulcer. If it's e cuniculi, panacur is only going to treat the EC spores in the rest of the body, but not necessarily in the eye. If the eye worsens then specific eye drops mentioned in the article below, may help. If not, in some instances eye removal is necessary. I'll have to add the EC link later. I can't get it to work eight now.

I just saw this, thank you so much for your response! I tried to flush it out with saline water but it was to no avail. I made an appt for him for next week. I’m hoping that we will get some answers. Thank you!
