What does it mean when a newborns nipples are visible

I don't understand this question. A newborn has no fur so the nipples will always be visible. Other than that the hair on them is not too thick until a month or two of age so you will be able To easily see them
 
I read that rabbits are (one of?) the only mammals that males don't have nipples? So if you can see nipples on newborns wouldn't that be a surefire sexing method?
