Hi, my mom recently got me a rabbit from a local pet shop. I am unsure of the age and what breed? Could anyone help. I’ll post some pics that I have.

Hi, congratulations on your new rabbit and welcome to the forum :)

It is hard to guess the age from photo but if you got her/him from a petshop they usually sell babies about 2-3 months old, you will see if she/he will grow rapidly over the next weeks or will stay same size, if so then maybe she/he is fully grown and it is really hard to guess the age. But looks like under one year from here where I am. Maybe 3-4 months. You can also ask in the petshop what's the story where she comes from.

You can also try this thread for sexing your rabbit and guess by the size of genitalia if there are testicles and if already full size, or you know you will generally see if it is a young rabbit they have still very tiny genitalia and even not easy to decide if it is girl or boy at all, because testicles will only drop at age 2,5-3,5 months.

As you are new to rabbits I guess and I see there floor is covered with newspapers I would suggest to read a bit about toilet training and setting up their cage properly so you will have less problems in the future. Rabbits can be easily toilet trained and you won't need those newspapers at all, just get a good sized litter box and fill it with wood pellets (preferably ) and some hay, also there's lots of information for a new owner about healthy diet and all, all illustrated excellent advice. Here's link but check out the rest of this site as well

So good luck and keep us updated :)

Hi, yes I am trying to research everything about rabbits. What about the breed? I was looking online and thought it could maybe be some English spot mix or even a broken polish rabbit? What do you think

I think it is just mixed breed but can be wrong maybe you get more opinions here
