Walking Dandruff, when will the dandruff go away?

My rabbit had mites otherwise known as walking dandruff. I took her to the vet and they gave me medicine to apply on her back. This was nearly three weeks ago and yet she still has dandruff on her back. How can I know the mites are gone? When will the dandruff go away?

Well, a little late, by now the skin should have healed and be back to normal. If not, was the medizine (which?) a single dose, or two applied 2-3 weeks apart?
