I have two bunnies, both Holland Lops, but one is a chestnut agouti and the other is white with some broken light brown patches. I've noticed when brushing their coats that my white rabbit sheds a lot more hair than my chestnut rabbit. Not huge visible patches, but I'll brush her and I get huge cottonball fluffs on my brush. I get a bit of hair from my other rabbit but not nearly as much.

Is this just a coat type thing? I know they shed a lot during winter/summer but this is a regular thing not a seasonal shed.

Are your rabbits housed indoors or out?

Indoor rabbits seldom seem to follow any regular shedding cycles. I've had pairs where one is shedding when the other is not. I've had others that seemed to shed constantly with heavier sheds a few times per year.

Doesn't sound like anything to worry about.

Mine are both indoors, but if indoor rabbits follow less of a schedule then I'm relieved for sure. Our white one has always been like this, I'll just have to brush her a lot more.
