Ultrasound cost?

has anyone gotten an ultrasound in the US? And if so how much did it cost? My bunny had blood tests done and 2 liver related values came back abnormal. A new specialist recommended I get x-rays and an ultrasound done. I have spent over $1000 on my bunny in about 2 months, and I’m also going to have to rent a car and drive 4 hours to see the specialist. Is it a bad idea to ask for just ultrasound and no x-rays? This is the scariest most stressful experience and I don’t know what to do.

It would be best to contact your clinic and ask for the price before you go, just send them an email maybe? From what I've heard it could be $250-500 depending on clinic

I’m not sure where you live in the US but if possible, reach out to your state chapter of House Rabbit Society and let them know what’s going on. Sometimes they can refer you to a vet that works with them on a discount or something. Reaching out to the bunny rescue organizations has been a life saver for me many times!
