I’m thinking of Rehoming my rabbits, they’re 5 and 3, I just feel so bad,

I just don’t have the time they need or deserve anymore. Constantly busy all the time and my parents have to look after them all the time so it’s not fair on them
My partner is also allergic to hay so it’s really hard

Just need some advice as I don’t want them to go to a bad home but I just feel they deserve someone who has more time for them

They’re free roam too so I don’t want someone to adopt and keep them in a cage

Bonded rabbits don't necessarily need to have their owners spend much time with them; besides providing the basics of food and cleaning and a safe environment, as they have each other for company. So if you can still provide the basics and it's just the time that you can't, I would think they should be alright as long as they have each other.

With the hay allergy issue, sometimes it's just a particular hay that's the problem. So if you're at all considering keeping them, I would suggest trying different varieties of hay. Like if you use timothy, instead try orchard, meadow, oat, etc. Also the crop cut can make a difference. A more mature cut can contain more pollen. So getting a cut with less mature seed heads can improve the allergy situation. Third cuts are often a softer hay with little to no seed heads. The less stalky and leafier the hay, the less mature seed heads there will be in it.

However, if you really don't have the time for even providing the basics of food and cleaning; and your parents aren't wanting, or able to continue looking after your rabbits for you, then rehoming is probably best. You may be able to find a local rabbit rescue that can offer advice, or may even be able to take in your rabbits for you and rehome them. But if not, it's just a process of finding local places to list your rabbits such as a vets, or maybe a local online pet rehoming site. Then you have to do the vetting of potential adopters, to try and make sure your rabbits end up in a good home.

If you do some online searches, there should be tips and info about questions you need to ask of prospective adopters, to try and ensure the potential home will be a good fit for your rabbits. Some rescues even require a home visit, though I'm not sure many people would allow this from a private individual and not someone specifically affiliated with a legitimate rescue organization.

Because your rabbits are already neutered and bonded, and are already litter trained house rabbits as well, you have a good chance of finding them a good home.

Edited to add: There is a 'Rescue Me' subforum here that you can repost your thread there if you want. This is the only place we allow a duplicate thread to be posted concerning the same topic, so it's alright to do another thread there.
