Because of Canadian cable tv laws (don't get me started.....honestly)

it is rare that I see many ads for large American companies.

This one had some rabbits in it so......here it is.

The premiss behind it is a little disturbing - we all know how rabbits feet are collected - but still, Bunnies :)

I saw that before ant I think its cute.

I hope the rabbit swimming wasn't forced to do that though (even though it says no bunnies were hurt making this)

Silvie&Phinn:D

I saw that earlier this week on tv, and it certainly gave me a chuckle:D

Bunnies can't swim. Or shouldn't. Most can go into shock. :?

That is why alot of people are up in arms about it. It may bea "cute" add but at the cost of some rabbits. People who do not knowbetter may start tossing their new "easter" bunny in a pool.

"Although some bunnies grow up swimming in thefamily pool and going on camping trips where they paddlearound in the lake, most rabbits are not used to this routine and willfind even an occasional, quick bath quite stressful.Spot cleaning is recommended instead.
NEVER- unless your veterinarian advisesit to bring down a fever . should you give a sick rabbit abath! Because seemingly healthy rabbits can haveundiagnosed problems, it's best not to subject them tothe stress of a bath. If your rabbit is very badly infested with fleas, there.s a good chance that he isalready compromised and may go into shock when bathed. Also, athoroughly wet rabbit takes a very long time to dry, sospot cleaning the dirty area is better than an over-all bath. Normalrabbit body temperature is 102 degrees Fahrenheit andsince they are subject to heat stress, use a warm dryer, not hot. If soap is needed during a spot cleaning, use amild cat shampoo. Take care that the rabbit does notbecome chilled, shocked or stressed during or after thecleaning."

I read in one of our rabbit care books that thecouples rabbit loved to travel camping with them and frequently like togo swimming in the lakes and ponds at the camp grounds.

It think its like a "In General" rabbit myth.....like cats dont likewater although a friend of mie had one that climbed in thew shower withher..

Yea maybe some do. I have one that goes into full panic if we put his back feet in water.

Some can and may like going into water. It is the fear of people who don't do it with care that worry us.

I know someone who had a pet rabbit die(panic/shock) because of an attempted bath. This commercial gives methe shivers. (Also because of what JadeIcing mentions...)
