Hi everyone,

im posting as my rabbit has a lack of colour in the bottom half of his right eye as can be seen in the picture. his left is perfectly normal, i tried to get a picture of it but he doesn't like to stand still for the camera.

importantly he isn't in any distress about it, it just seemed weird and im curious.

he can see, sometimes he seems as if he cant see treats when i wave them in front of him or when they get dropped he often cant find them but i put that down to him just being a bit weird.

does anyone know if this is a common trait? or more importantly should i be worried about it?

Thanks,

Has he always had it? It’s possible it’s just the colour of his eye - rare, but he might just have some funky colouring. If it is a new change, I would take him to a vet, as a change in colour isn’t a good sign. They will also be able to better assess his vision :)

thanks JBun, that is really fascinating.

Thanks guys!
