He used to be kind to everyone he loved a friendly pet but know he’s only really nice to me is that normal

If he spends more time with you, then yes it's normal. My bun loves me but will put up with my family. He likes one of my sisters more than the other because my sister likes to come in my room and sit and pet him. You could have each member of your family give him a treat (not everyday) and then he will think they're good

you just need to exposed the little one to more of the family member(s), so the little one can be comfortable with them also
