Rocky is currently on injectible penicilin and oral Azithromycin. He's on 5 weeks already and continues to sneeze. That said, the rumbling in his sinuses has subsided. He eats, plays and poops as usual but seems to be depressed. I'd guess that's from daily injections. He had been on bicillin which was injected in 48 hour increments but the powers that be in California decided to outlaw that medication here so we switched.

I'm about to give up on this vet. We've been battling this for two years no. He thinks that Rocky got a jaw abscess from a an infected tooth that was removed in 2018. He'd need a CT scan to know for sure but also says that even if he removed an abscess it would just come back anyway so why bother.

I was fine using the combination of these 2 medications as it has worked in the past. The last time we kept him on for two months. He cleared up and stayed clear for 3 months. I'm afraid the bugs may have become resistant and I don't know what to do. The vet is not being helpful at all at this point - suggesting just taking him off meds and giving him Cernia, which is an anti-nausea medication used on cats. What?!

We have been nebulizing Rocky with saline in hopes of helping him clear up. Any suggestions on what could be added to the nebulizer that might help? He gets all kinds of fresh herbs, prebiotics and probiotics. Next step is to try a new vet. It's sad as his current vet IS and exotic animal specialist! Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I definitely would not do the Cernia, it gave my CAT problems, I can't imagine what it. Would do to you bunny. Like theo said definitely get a second opinion!

We are 3 hours from L.A. or San Francisco so they list doesn’t help, unfortunately. There is one other exotic vet nearby and I plan to call her tomorrow. I was really hoping someone had a suggestion for something I can add to the nebulizer yo make him more comfortable until he can be seen by by the new vet.
