I had my Netherland as a lone rabbit for about a year. She has lots of energy and I'm concerned she doesn't have anyone she can play with to keep her happy. All the animals in my home are elderly, so they sleep mostly and sometimes get annoyed when she expressed to much energy at them LOL. Her only friend is my 12yr old cat, Gigi.
Sadie's the only rabbit I have currently, but I'm considering getting her someone to bond with, possibly another female, or a neutered male. I've never had bonded rabbits so I don't know if someone her breed, size and gender would be better or not. Would a younger bunny be better than older?
She gets into mischief because she has so much energy, and no real way to express it. She's free roaming during the day, and races tracks around the house, and has loads of toys. But I wonder if a buddy would be good for her.
