hi. I recently made a little grass pen for my little Lola to play in, the grass is starting to die now and I’m looking to switch it up to stop her from getting bored with the same toys.
Do you’d have any suggestions of what to put in it?
Plastic balls (like a ball pit)
Sand? I have heard mixed reviews about rabbits and sand.
Sawdust
Straw?

I would have put shredded paper in it but she just eats it and I’m scared she is going to block herself up with it.
Any suggestions are welcome

Ps. This is for indoors

You may need to experiment with different things to see what works and what she likes. I would avoid sawdust (too dusty, can get breathed in maybe). I would be more inclined to use hay before using straw. But just know that anything like hay she may decide ot use it like a litter box. Clean play sand may work, but again, you'd have to be sure she isn't going potty in it. Shredded paper should not be a problem provided she's a good hay eater to keep things moving through the gut.
