Rubbed jalapeño pepper on rabbit cage

Hello everyone, I was told by someone at the pet store that if I rub a jalapeño pepper on her cage bars she will stop biting them so I did, she licked it a few times and stopped. Is this dangerous? I don't want to harm my little rabbit. Before we rubbed plain dove soap and she loves it and I read online that is very harmful, is it ? I'm so confused!!

Nah it's not harmful. My bun LOVES spicy sauce, and if your bun was licking it off, so does she!

Put up a mesh around the cage so she can't get to the bars.

Would rather you used bitter apple spray, or phooey spray. But I don't think it'll harm her/him

Can you distract her from the bars by getting her some branches? Apple or willow would be good.
