My state prohibits the possession of wild large carnivores. " Large carnivores are illegal to own. There is also a limit of 6 bobcats, squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, quail, oppossum, coyote, deer, red fox, and gray fox per owner." That limit can be enforced for rabbits, wherever they are born. So, if you have a pair of domestic or domesticated rabbits, and the doe has a litter of more than 4, you could be in trouble. In practical terms, as long as there is not a problem, no one pays any real attention to anything except large carnivores.

I am fairly certain that any animal who was bottle-fed, loved and a part of a family for 5 years will be considered "tame" for all practical purposes. Even if he was born wild, after this amount of time, there are unlikely to be many of his peers around. He is more skittish than other rabbits that we have lived with and been servants to, but when there are no sudden noises or movements, his behavior is amazingly similar to the others.
