So my baby (4 month old Flemish) has been to the vet and was prescribed an antibiotic for her red irritated eyes (which ran out)but it’s not working I did notice she was fine before the vet visit and her eyes just got worse from there. Is there an antibiotic I could use for her eyes on chewy or somewhere that will help her until she’s able to get back to the vet? Thanks I will attach a picture of how her eyes lookDCCAB67D-0FA9-4567-A619-9D2B95932D7E.jpeg1DB72B38-3450-48A3-9025-1FAF43A58AF2.jpeg

If it's a persistent problem and not just happening when your rabbit is feeling stressed, it could possibly be a prolapsed gland if it's bulging out significantly and constantly. Or if it seems worse when your rabbits head is lowered, your rabbit seems to always be trying to rest with her head and upper torso elevated, if you're noticing any increased or labored breathing, or unusual lethargy, this can indicate a possible heart issue or thymoma. Though thymoma in such a young rabbit would be unlikely. But a heart issue is definitely something that should be checked out as this can be a common ailment in large breed rabbits like flemish giants, and consistently protruding third eyelids can occur with heart issues.

Medirabbit: protruding third eyelid

If your vet isn't a really experienced rabbit vet, I would suggest finding one if possible, especially if there's a chance it's a heart issue.

Are both eyes like this?
Flemish giants usually have larger third eyelids than other breeds (probably because of their size and head structure), its very common to see the eyelids exposed a good portion of the time.
The antibiotics could be irritating it a bit; it doesn't look particularly infected there, especially as it doesn't look really watery.

Both her eyes are like that and it’s often watery at times by her corner eye part by her fur.

I’m guessing my vet is experienced with rabbits since he was on the rabbit form of lists of savvy vets near me.
