Does anyone see anything on these x-rays that stand out as not being normal. I am posting on behalf of another person. The vet said the X-rays are normal. Others believe they see something wrong with the intestines and teeth.

would you have another set of x-ray(s) ( like from another bun ) that WE can like compare the two ... ??

Sorry, I don't have any other X-rays except the ones I posted.

I don't really have any experience with reading xrays, besides being able to see the obvious. You may be able to find some xrays to compare on medirabbit. This link also has some good dental xrays for comparison.

With the teeth, if I were to have a guess I would say there may be some root elongation on the lower molars, and the occlusal plane is slightly off. But this is just a guess based on photo comparison. If this is the case, there may be some dental pain and eating difficulty for the rabbit.

If this has something to do with a rabbit having health issues and the owner not feeling confident with the vets diagnosis, my suggestion would be to get a second opinion or for the vet to consult a rabbit specialist, which can be done via phone/fax/email if there are none in the area.

The owner has some additional photos which makes me think there is some kind of dental issue with drooling causing a skin infection. She is in Costa Rica and can't find an exotic vet and is asking what kind of antibacterial or anti fungal skin cream would be safe for the rabbit. If she knows the ingredient she may be able to get it in a Costa Rica pharmacy.
