Rabbit toe possibly swollen

My rabbit has got a swollen toe
he isn't limping but lifts his hand while standing and licks his hand some times
is this a severe problem or can it be home cured
Also,currently all the vets around me are closed

It should be fine. I would give him some pain medicine (safe analgesics) and hold an ice pack wrapped in a towel on it to reduce the swelling. Any idea of how it happened?

No idea on how it happened but it just happened a day ago,
also just wanted to make sure if it can get more infected or not

It would only get infected if it was an open wound. Since he probably just stubbed it, it can't get infected.
