Hi! I just introduced myself in a long, rambling post in the Introductions section (August 15, 2017). Here it is: http://www.rabbitsonline.net/showthread.php?t=87862

Hmm, I'm not sure I did that link right. Will have to see how it looks when I post. I also need to learn how to use the smilies. I remember how skilled some of you are in using these! Quite clever.

For the last nine months or so I've been designing t-shirts to sell on Amazon. The program is called Merch by Amazon and one has to apply to be able to sell shirts there. The waiting list is long. I applied just to see what it was like, and ended up really enjoying it. I don't have design training, so I'm learning as I go. Full disclosure: I don't make the illustrations myself. I either find them for free or buy them. Sometimes I have a text in mind and look for an illustration to go with it, and other times I look around on illustration websites for inspiration. I'll see a graphic and think, that would make a great t-shirt if I added so and so text to it! Or maybe it would make a great shirt on it's own, with no text. It depends on which website I use whether I am allowed to use an illustration on its own or if I have to add text or other elements to it. I make shirts for several niches, with the rabbit one being the largest. That's because I just love bunnies so much!

The name of my rabbit-themed shirt brand is "The Purple Rabbit". When I was trying to think of a brand name for the rabbit shirts, I looked around my room to get some ideas. You see, I have a lot of stuffed rabbits around my small apartment. Maybe you do, too! My eyed lit on a purple rabbit that two cyclists from California had given me after I hosted them for a week. (I host total strangers who are traveling, using the websites Couchsurfing and the Warm Showers List. I specialize in hosting cyclists and hitchhikers, though I also host regular backpackers. I have hosted hundreds of people from all over the world. It's very interesting. It helps that when I started doing this I was living in a tourist city, Xi'an, and now I live in a city that is on the way to the border with Vietnam/is the first city travelers come to after they cross over from Vietnam.) I had actually said to the two cyclists that I think I had enough stuffed rabbits, not knowing that they had already bought me the purple one! They gave it to me when they left, saying that they knew I had enough, but hoped one more would be fine. I said that there's always room for a purple rabbit! I'm writing this in the U.S. When I get back to China, I'll take a picture of the purple rabbit for you.

At this point, the shirts on Amazon are only available for U.S. buyers (and maybe Canadian, I'm not sure). They should be branching out to the U.K. and Europe in the future, though the timeline hasn't been revealed yet. I also have a Purple Rabbit store on Zazzle, which I'll talk more about later. They ship to other countries, though I have to say that the prices of items are higher than on Amazon.

I normally price my Amazon t-shirts at U.S. $17.99. Sellers are allowed to choose their own price. A lot sell theirs for $19.99, though newcomers will price theirs lower to make more sales. With more sales comes the ability to put more designs up. I'm limited to 100 designs until I sell about 50 more shirts, then I can upload up to 500 designs.

I plan to offer two shirts a week at a discounted price. I'm also going to permanently lower the two shirts that are specifically designed for kids. Watch here for the special offers. For now, the link to all of my shirts is https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=w_bl_sl_s_ap_web_7141123011?ie=UTF8&node=7141123011&field-brandtextbin=The+Purple+Rabbit

This is great news! I have been looking for rabbit t shirts ever since I saw one that said: I like big buns. I've also been taking pictures of rabbit shirts when I see some, mostly off my Korean drama shows. I had planned to eventually make them into t shirts for myself, as I think Cafepress will print a single shirt. But I'd much rather buy them if possible. Can't wait to check out your stuff!!

Thanks for the kind words! I know that you can make your own shirts etc on Zazzle, but if you want me to take your idea or your picture I'd be glad to give it a try. I can't use any words or phrases that are trademarked (like brand names) and I can't copy a shirt's design exactly. I would be in danger of being banned by Amazon. Also, if you search Amazon for rabbit t-shirts there should be a lot there. I've never checked on the other rabbit-themed designs, because I want to have my own ideas. I've read short ebooks on selling t-shirts and they all say to find out what is selling well, then copy the design, change a thing or two, try to make it better, and maybe sell it a little cheaper. However, that's not the way I do it, which is why I don't know what else is available in terms of rabbit shirts on Amazon.

Thanks again for writing, and best wishes from (for two more weeks) Arkansas.

Most of my shirts are designed with adults in mind, but with these two I had children in mind. The illustrations of rabbits are similar, but one works best on a light-colored shirt and the other on a darker shirt. These shirts will remain at U.S. $13.99. This price is good whether it's for members of this forum or someone who finds the shirt by doing a search on Amazon.

Here are a couple I really like. I checked out your stuff on Amazon. I'll keep checking back in case you make new stuff. Your shirts look good!

Thanks for the response and your kind words! I'm not an artist, so I can't make anything like those. I also haven't seen anything similar to those for sale to use on a shirt. I'll keep my eyes open, though. The second picture looks like Miffy, which would be under copyright. I don't know if we have Miffy in the U.S., but this design from Europe is also in China. I knew a student once who chose "Miffy" for her English name because the bunny is so cute.

The first one on sale for this week has bunnies romping amid flowers and leaves and hearts. The design is in pastel colors on a white background. It's offered in children's, men's and women's sizes in green, baby blue, pink, yellow and gray.
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0719WB9VG

The second one is ten solid black rabbits in different poses. It's offered, as always, in all sizes in baby blue, light gray, white, pink and yellow.

If you happen to click on one of these right after I post, the price may not have changed yet. It takes an hour or so for Amazon to change the prices after I have changed them.

The sale is good until next Monday, August 28 (the day I start my long journey back to China!)

They're nice but I wish you offered a more vintage, worn style of t shirt. I'm not a fan of stiff cotton fits. The designs are cool though.

Thanks for the response! Amazon only has that style of t-shirt. I also use Zazzle and Spreadshirt. I'll look around on them to see if they have shirts like you are talking about. I agree that it's good to have more variety. The main issue with these two is that I can't match the price that I can give on Amazon.

Here I'm showing you three designs that I made using pictures of my late bunny Qingqing (cheeng cheeng). I made them for fun, and didn't expect anyone to buy one, so was surprised when someone bought the one with Qingqing eating a banana! I think it's cool to know that somewhere there is a man wearing a brown t-shirt with my rabbit on it. :)

If you want a shirt with your bunny and your text on it, I'll charge $19.99, just two dollars more than what I usually price my shirts. Send me a message here and I can make a design for you and send you a link to your sample on Amazon. If you like it, you can buy it. If you don't like it, tell me how to change it and I'll do what you want.

I'm limited by Amazon to only two uploads a day, so there may end up being a waiting list for this service.

If you want something other than a simple short-sleeved t-shirt, I can use Zazzle or Spreadshirt, though the price will be higher, depending on the shirt.

I've got two pre-made templates for rabbits that have crossed the rainbow bridge. I'll upload those to Amazon and post them here after they go live.

I've tried my hand at some Halloween T-shirts for us.

This one has an illustration of a rabbit riding a carrot:
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075VTS4K4

    This one is titled "Frankenbun":
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075XWGRD8

Click here to see the rest of my Halloween offerings, as well as all of my rabbit-themed T-shirts:
    https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=w_bl_s...41123011&field-brandtextbin=The+Purple+Rabbit

If you want an orange shirt, you may want to order soon, as Amazon has a history of running out of important colors at certain times, such as running out of red and green at Christmastime.

I'm so very sorry, but Amazon only ships their T-shirts to addresses in the U.S. They apparently haven't bought the half-million dollar machines for their other sales areas.
