Hi Every one.
I have a four year old rabbit. She’s an indoor pet who does not mind being picked up to stroke each day. I also put my head in her cage each night and she comes forward to lick my forehead. Now whilst this is really nice I wondered is this affection or salt craving? I have put a salt block in her cage which the pet store sell.I imagine this is common with other rabbit owners.

If your rabbit is licking you, it's most likely a sign of affection. Rabbits generally don't require salt licks unless they have an all hay diet since their pellets do have sodium already per my vet's advice. Generally they lick as a form of grooming which is a sign they have a lot of trust and love for you, especially if she trusts you to pick her up. I would take it as an honor and compliment 🥰
