Rabbit has a weird crusty thing on lower lip

Hi everyone,

Hoping someone can help me out. My rabbit has a weird crusty thing growing from her lower lip. Not sure if its an infection or something. I think she did cut her lip a few weeks ago and she seems to feel discomfort when it is touched. I'm trying to figure out what it is.

Oh I would definitely have a vet see her. If it's an infection she needs antibiotics immediately.

If you don't already have a rabbit savvy vet try to find one. It always pays and saves you money in the long run to find a good rabbit vet.

Are their any other crusty blisters anywhere else? If there is it could be other things like ringworm or rabbit vent disease. If not it might be an infection and it probably needs antibiotics. Either way it will need vet prescribed medicine.

There's a picture of a rabbit on this forum post that has a crusty sore on lip...
you can have a look and see if you think it looks like what your rabbit has. It turned out to be rabbit syphilis but on the bright side... they treated it with a convenia injection that lasts 10 days- so easy to treat.
