good morning,

My girl rabbit, Grendel, just went on another rampage, sending the cats racing down the hill in our backyard and Into the house. if she catches up to one, she will ram into it with her ears pinned down-- she totally nails them (so now they run like it's for their lives). I imagine this is territorial aggression on Gren's part. often times they can all be outside no problem. it particularly concerns me because one of the cats (Asha) has terminal cancer and one of the things he loves is taking a walk in the backyard. he really dislikes Gren, however. right now I have her locked inside so we can spend some time outdoors in peace but any ideas on how to correct her from bullying the cats? she's so fast there seems to be nothing I can do once she starts.

Shin Shin, our other rabbit, is angelic with the cats but I don't want him to start emulating Grendel's rude behavior.

thanks for any ideas you have.

Yes, Grendel and Shin Shin are both fixed. Interestingly, I don't think Grendel did this before she was spayed in February, but I think it has more to do with her settling into her territory than her surgery.

Fraggles loves cats...

Oh no! Bunny Porn! lol,

But seriously,

Poor kitties. Some rabbits are territorial. And as Frags is showing, will make their presence know to the kitties. Just can't stop themselves. It's just their way.

Agree with Larry, hard to stop that territorial drive.

I'd protect your sweet Asha from Grendel. Asha doesn't need that stress in her condition.

K:)

Aaaah the bossy bunny haha. Harvey will boss around my cats to no end. He plays/chases the bigger of the two and the cat just lets Harvey do it. Harvey will groom the cats, nibble on them, push them away from their food bowls, jump on them, jump on their face and then bite them, the list goes on haha. The cats certainly put up with a lot and aren't mean to Harvey. Harvey does love the cats but he needs to tell them he's the boss. I think they know that.
