Hey everyone! My 15 month old neutered Rex, Cosmo, and my 2 yr old spayed Mini Lop, Willow, have been living apart since they've met. Willow is wonderful, but everytime she gets near his cage, Cosmo just wants to bite her face or claw at her through his cage...he lunges at her with his hears back and I just don't know what to do anymore. I've tried to bond them in the past in a neutral territory, but they just get stressed out and start thumping. Last October, Cosmo bit Willows face and she had to get a couple staples. She recovered well from that, but i've just been so scared to have them together ever since.

I've thought maybe bonding them was a lost cuase and the three of us would all be happier living the way we are now. But I don't know...I wish there was some kind of bunny bonding specialist who could come to my house and help me.

Anyway, does anyone out there know of any rabbit behavior specialist? Particularly one in the PA area? If not, any other help is appreciated.

I've tried the neutral territory thing...I've tried the rubbing them with garlic thing..and all that seems to happen is Willow puts her head down and Cosmo wants to hump her and bite her...so I mean, I don't know what to do anymore.

Thanks!!

Have you talked to anyone at your nearest HRS group? Or another rabbit rescue? Some of them do have bonding services- either at your house, or some will even take the rabbits for a week or two to get them started. Even if they don't do bonding services, they may be able to give you good advice.
