So Alfy is recovering from her gas & GI episode, though we had to go back to the vets again this weekend for more meds.

However, I think she's really displaying some symptoms of puberty. She's suddenly got really grumpy and doesn't want to be picked up (great fun when giving her her meds!) She's also hiding in her wooden house a lot more and pulling her hay rack off and dumping it at the other side of her cage!

The vet said to spay about mid to the end of April to give her time to get over the stress of her recent illness & vet trips.

Anyone else experienced grumpy adolescent buns?

Normal, they tend to be grumps at puberty. They usually get moody and a bit destructive, and seem less friendly. That's normal, healthy rabbit behavior at 4-7 months old, depending on the rabbit as to when exactly that starts.

She will be spayed soon so, just ride it out until then and, expect it to take up to a month after she is spayed for all of that to calm down.

Good! I thought it was because she'd just been ill but she's definitely better and grumpy! Still cute though!
