it is not very clear in the picture but her ears are flaky with fur falling off. It wasn't noticeably like this yesterday and pretty sudden, unless I just missed it. At first I thought it was just shedding since the rest of her fur is also shedding but flaking doesn't seem normal and every time I touch her ears a significant amount of hair just kind of comes off. Is this mites or something else?

Possibly fur mites. They will cause flaking skin. Easily treated with ivermectin or Revolution(selamectin), with Revolution being my preference. Ear mites occur mostly inside the ear and look different. Fungal dermatitis might also be a possibility, especially if your rabbit is exposed much, to the moisture and humidity where you live. A knowledgeable rabbit vet would be able to confirm which.
