This is a cool cake that my son and husband made for the Cub Scout auction. It was really easy for them to make and a lot of fun!

Recipe: (makes 2 pizza cakes)

1 vanilla box cake mix

2 round pizza pans

coconut for "cheese"

raisins for "black olives"

1 can frosting (color it red) for "sauce"

For pizza toppings, use fondant. You can make your own, or buy it.

Homemade fondant: 2 cups powdered sugar, 2 tbs. shortening, 2 tbs. milk. Mix well and add coloring (may need to add a little bit more powdered sugar if the fondont is sticky.)

Bake the cakes first (be sure to grease pans - cook until done, approx. 15 minutes.) Cool, then frost and add toppings!

Great for kids' parties!

Yes - the "crust" is just vanilla cake. 1 box makes two pizza cakes. It takes about 15 minutes to bake.

For those who don't like coconut, icing can be used for the "cheese".
