I am sorry for this OT post but I am so frustrated angry not to mention PMSy
Men might not want to read this =p
When I was 17 I started to get such severe menstrual pain that I wouldpass out, throw up, and not be able to move. I missed a lotof school because of this until I went to the OBGYN to discussthis.
Because of the severity of my cycles I was put on birthcontrol. Thanks to that little pill, I could function everyweek. I wasn't out of commision 2 days of the month.
Two years ago, I was put on a lower dose pill which brought oninstances of severe migraines during the last week of thepill. Now, this can happen to women not on the pill becauseof the hormones in the body. Instead of being put on moredrugs to deal with migraines once a month I was put onSeasonal. I have been on it for 9 months now and have hadonly 1 migraine in that period of time due to menstruation.
Now that I have my new insurance, I went to the pharmacy to refil myprescription, and was denied. So I called the company to askwhy. I was told "Oh this policy doesnt cover birth controlfor any reason, medical or otherwise" however this policyDOES cover Viagra.
I have a medical condition that I NEED this pill for to function like anormal human. Pharmacies have no control that Viagra is usedresponsibly, and say not with an affair or something likethat.
In my opinion that is hypocrisy. That someone can get a pillfor sex, but I cant get a pill that lets me live my life. Iwant children some day, I was told that having a child would help myproblem. But birth control is NOT why I am taking thispill. I am taking it to function.
::sighs:: so now I have to pay out of pocket for something that is anecessity. And I feel that the 'moral' background I was toldfor not filling my pill is hypocrisy.
So I apologize, I just needed to vent, bad enough I am already so emotional from a crappy few days at work.
