only eats hay when handfed...

so nemo will only eat his daily serving of hay with me handfeeding it to him. he will not eat it by himself. i have to put it by his mouth and he will devour it, strand by strand. it is hard to get him to stay still for awhile so i can give him plenty.

anyone else have a bun that does this?

or, any suggestions?

Wierd. My girls were like that right after their spays, but aside from that they are hay monsters. Have you tried stuffing hay into toys like toilet paper tubes, wicker baskets or balls, etc? Make it fun.

He was just recently neutered, so he may be a tad out-of-whack !


Don't worry...Marlin is a weirdo as well. He barely eats any hay at all. He will eat about a small handful of hay every other day.
